Two years ago I walked 39.3 miles for Breast Cancer with the In It To End It Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. What an amazing experience!! I was able to raise money and meet some incredible survivors along the way. I was walking for My Mom, My Aunt and too many of our friends that have fought the disease and won…and I am so thankful for that!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is an annual campaign to increase awareness of the disease. While most people are aware of breast cancer, many forget to take the steps to have a plan to detect the disease in its early stages and encourage others to do the same. We have made a lot of progress but still have a long way to go and need your help!

My Mom and a few other wonderful ladies sew totes every Wednesday for the Lydia project. Lydia provides free services to women facing any type of cancer anywhere in the world. This support includes ongoing correspondence and encouragement every month for at least twelve months. Every woman receives a handmade tote made by the loving hands of volunteers and filled with encouraging items.
